The Swiss company Dyhrberg

Genuine pleasure made by hand is the motto of the Dyhrberg company created in 1965, refineing and smoking 800 tons of Salmon every year. For the past 54 years the family has focused on maintaining the quality of its production. Only the highest quality wild and certified farmed products are sold by the Dyhrberg company. With a pioneering spirit, they brought smoked salmon prepared according to the ancient Nordic tradition to Switzerland for the first time. New, undiscovered worlds of taste thus became available to their customers. Only the most exquisite and noble salmons make their way into our smokehouse in the Thal Nature Park. Filleted by hand, sprinkled with precious sea salts while dry and then smoked in a wood-fired oven according to tradition.

LODALI WINERY

“They must be the best grapes – said Giovanni Lodali in 1939 – because everyone has wine here, and everyone is an expert; if you make wine and you haven’t made a good choice, they go elsewhere to buy” The life of this company is part of the effort to exist in the Langa hills, the story of Giovanni Lodali, a son of peasants, who began making wine for the customers of his trattoria, the only one in the small town of Treiso. After the war, Giovanni built a house and a large cellar, setting down roots and linking the Lodali family and their hopes to Treiso. In 1955 his son Lorenzo graduated from the oenological school in Alba. In 1958 Lorenzo, flanked by his wife Rita, produced the first crus: Barbaresco and Barolo. Business was good and the wines also sold abroad but in 1982 Lorenzo died. Rita with newborn Walter, found the courage to continue, determined to carry on the project and focusing on quality and type. Walter, graduated in 1998 from the oenological school of Alba, still a young heir but already in the wine business, he brought new life to the business: caring for and building up the Bricco Ambrogio and Rocche dei Sette Fratelli vineyards; he renewed the cellar equipment and refined the production and winemaking techniques. In 2005 the Lorens (Lorenzo in Piedmontese), Barolo and Barbaresco reserves were produced from the selected grapes of the best years of the Bricco Ambrogio and Rocche dei Sette Fratelli vinyards. Giovanni, Lorenzo, Walter: three generations with their heart and roots in the Langhe.
